About the Evans'
Robert and Nancy are healing arts professionals, spiritual mentors, and teachers who help people discover their gifts and overcome roadblocks to living the life they want to create. They were fortunate to meet in the 80’s while attending spiritual classes through The Growing Place in Bridger, MT. Since then, beyond their amazingly fun and adventurous relationship, they have been dedicated seekers of their highest personal and spiritual growth. They are ever-thankful, having been graced with being able to share this sacred path with one another.
Nancy has been an accomplished trailblazer in the fields of wellness and healthcare throughout her career. After becoming a Registered Nurse in 1985, she later moved on to serving as a Nurse Manager and Nursing Instructor in Richmond, Virginia until she moved to Colorado in 2004. Drawn to consider other options for healing, Nancy has studied and practiced a variety of complementary therapies, including Applied Kinesiology, Touch for Health, Brain Integration Technique, Yoga Teacher Training, Hypnotherapy, Hypnobirthing, Meditation, and Reiki Energy Work.
Building upon his long history of involvement in community improvement causes, Robert has created and managed several for-profit and nonprofit businesses, been a guest instructor with the University of Northern Colorado School of Business, as well as consulted with city, county, and public education entities in appointed advisory roles.
The common theme throughout Robert's work has been the desire to inspire and empower diverse people and institutions to think and act more creatively and collaboratively for the benefit of all. He received the prestigious Outstanding Small Business of the Year for Philanthropy Day award from the Colorado Association of Nonprofit Organizations (CANPO), received special recognition for his leadership on the Larimer County Health & Human Service's Community Action Program Board (CAP), as well as commendations from the City of Fort Collins Human Rights Office, Fort Collins Baha'i, the Not in Our Town Fort Collins Chapter, and Poudre School District Board of Education.
Robert was certified through the Bob Chadwick Consensus Building Institute for conflict resolution consulting, trained in William Edward Deming's Total Quality Management through Kodak Company, Systems Theory through MIT workshops, Presencing social technology through Otto Scharmer and the Sloan School of Management/MIT, Peer Counseling and Men's Groups certification through Re-evaluation Counseling/Personal Counselors Inc., as well as extended spiritual transformational work through The Growing Place in Montana.
In 2006, Robert and Nancy established Open Pathways to Learning in Fort Collins, Colorado, to help children and adults overcome learning difficulties. This led to expanding their services by creating a community-collaborated wellness center that quickly grew to offer Community Acupuncture and other complementary care methodologies. This award-winning "healing oasis," as its patients and clients like to call it, continues to thrive in Fort Collins, Colorado.
2023 ushered in a move for the Evans' to Billings, Montana, where they continue to be of service to their team in Colorado, as well as now having the great opportunity to be of service to their old and new friends in Montana.
