Hi, I'm Nancy Evans, along with my husband Robert, founder of Open Pathways to Learning. Since you have navigated to this site, you, or someone you care deeply about, may be experiencing some type of academic, personal performance or emotional stress. Perhaps you have already explored other, more traditional, treatments and are hoping for a better outcome. My goal is to assist you in your journey by providing information about the services we provide in a clear and concise manner. This is important because you are making a decision about which you should be well informed!  Brain Integration Technique and the other complementary therapies offered at Open Pathways are not traditional approaches. We don't use medications, equipment, scans, or repetitive exercises to change the brain. We work with the acupressure meridians, subtle body systems that are less understood, yet very real, and becoming more accepted as scientific studies confirm their existence. I was first introduced to acupressure in 2005 while studying Crossinology Brain Integration Technique (BIT). Twenty years as a registered nurse and I had little to no awareness of the history or effectiveness of Chinese Medicine! The seemingly magical results of BIT, experienced by myself and other family members, had me convinced that I wanted to learn more! That was the beginning of a most wonderful personal and spiritual journey into the healing arts. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to study with the foremost leaders in the fields of Brain Integration, Applied Physiology, and Kinesiology, including Dr. Charles Krebs, Adam Lehman, DC, Susan McCrossin, Dr. Chris Beardall, and Mathilda van Dyk. I have never been happier with my work than now, in fact, I don't think it really qualifies as "work!" I love watching people and families transform in ways that didn't seem possible and I am grateful to be of service in this way. Thanks for being here! I am happy to answer your specific questions.
