How Brain Integration Technique Works

Brain Integration identifies and corrects the areas of the brain that are experiencing improper functioning by using muscle monitoring, acupressure, left/right brain integration, and emotional memory stress release. Each client is assisted on an individual basis with a treatment program designed according to their unique goals.

Crossinology’s® Brain Integration Technique was developed in 1988 by Susan McCrossin. With advanced degrees in Neuroscience and Psychology from Swinburne University in Melbourne, Austrailia, and a Diploma in Applied Physiology from the International Institute in Arizona, Susan has completed numerous research projects and written many articles on brain integration and learning disabilities. She has also trained hundreds of practitioners in Europe and Australia.

Several scientific papers about Brain Integration can be found at Susan’s website. Her excellent book about Brain Integration can be purchased through her website. I have copies of that book as well, and would be pleased to make it available to you.

A variety of stresses and injuries can cause the diverse learning disorders commonly found in children and adults. Physical injury, emotional trauma, genetics, environmental conditions, and life stresses are all capable of dramatically reducing the brain’s ability to operate properly.

To comprehend how Brain Integration works, it is helpful to understand that MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and SPECT (Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography) scans have shown that people with learning disorders have decreased blood flow in the areas of their brain responsible for specific tasks that are problematic for them (such as reading or math). Contrarily, people without these disorders have normal blood flow to those same areas.

When proper blood flow is restored to the specific part of the brain that is related to that learning dysfunction (through gentle, non-invasive, acupressure treatment), the brain is able to operate properly and the learning difficulty is corrected. The outcome is the lessening or complete elimination of that learning disorder.

The person undergoing Brain Integration therapy will experience a series of these “correcting” treatments, focusing specifically on each area and function of the brain where blockages or misrouting are identified. These corrective treatments will, commonly, take between ten to fifteen hours to run the full course of identifying and removing these blockages, as well as opening neural pathways in the client’s brain.

The following two book excerpts will help you better understand Brain Integration Technique. The first, by Susan McCrossin, is an excellent summary in lay person language. You may order Susan's book here. The second excerpt, by Dr. Charles Krebs, provides more of a scientific articulation of how learning disorders occur as well as how brain integration treatment resolves those disorder. Dr. Krebs' book is available at Amazon.com.
